Carbon Trade & Finance S.A. (CTF), a partnership between Dresdner Bank and Gazprom Bank, has taken a minority stake in Dutch-based Global Carbon B.V. (GC). With this investment Global Carbon will strengthen its position as leading and independent developer of greenhouse gas reduction projects, also known as Joint Implementation (JI) projects, in the industrial sectors in Russia, Ukraine and Bulgaria. ASIA GREEN CAPITAL acted as financial advisor to Global Carbon B.V.

August 2009 Pure Carbon Asia Pte Ltd (PCA), a joint-venture between Pure Carbon Group from Switzerland and Asia Green Capital from Singapore, has formally been incorporated with the aim of providing full service CDM project development to companies in the Southeast Asian region. The focus of the new established company will be on biogas, biomass, hydro and energy efficiency projects. The company will start with two offices in Kuala Lumpur and Singapore, while a third office is being considered for Indonesia. |
